Course Objectives

  • 1) Attendees will be able to identify the 3 main components of skin (Epidermis, Dermis, Subcutis)

  • 2) Attendees will be able to describe the skin aging process including 3 intrinsic and extrinsic aging factors and their effects

  • 3) Attendees will be able to verbalize the medical legal risk of treating lesions that they are unfamiliar with and the necessity of referring to a qualified medical professional for assessment before treating such lesions

  • 4) Attendees will be able to list the 4 fundamental ways laser energy can interact with tissue particularly as it relates to skin/aesthetics

  • 5) Attendees will be able to independently perform the SmoothLase, LipLase, and Light Peel procedures

  • 6) Attendees will verbalize feeling comfortable performing the aforementioned procedures at their own office without instructor supervision

  • 7) Attendees will be able to list at least 3 major differences between LightWalker and TW/Dynamis
